Anyway, “So how does all this magic work” I hear you cry.
Well grass hoper. As any designer in any field will tell you, the most important thing is experience, it gives you the new skills and new ideas which you need to get ahead in this business. Having more things to go into your portfolio so you stand out from everyone else who has just left higher education. Which is where we come into it. Not only will you be paid like as a freelance professional designer.
How it works:
Well its simple really. When we get a brief from a client we put it on our website with in the brief section and email it to everyone who is signed up to our mailing list. The briefs will tend to be split up like:
Style: (logo design, website design, interior design, etc)
Details: (what colours, styles and limitation the client has and any preference’s)
Deadline: (deadline for when the work should be handed in)
Submission: (how the work should be submitted e.g by CD, print out)
Pay: (what you will receive if you work is chosen by the client)
If you choose to complete a brief then all you have to do is to send your work into us and wait to see if your work gets chosen if it gets chosen we will send you a nice big cheque. O and again it doesn’t cost you anything.
Here’s a quick example of what to expect:
Joeblogs salon comes to us wanting a new website. We then take down a design brief agree a price and put there brief on our website. The design work comes to £300 for around 10hours work (£30 per hr). We then email all of designers on our database. You then give it ago doing your best design ideas to fill the brief. Once all the designs are in we then take the ideas to the client. We discus the ideas and he chooses his favourite. Then if yours is chosen we phone you up to tell you and then post a cheque for £300. Simple!! and free.
